Staff Nurse – West Midlands

JOB OVERVIEW

We currently have several temporary and full time positions for prison nurses to join an established prison in the Yorkshire area.

Duties Include:

• Obtaining blood samples
• Minor and complex wound management including leg ulcers
• Women’s health including cervical smears
• Men’s health screening
• Smoking cessation
• You’ll also be working with people who have a higher concentration of mental health and substance misuse problems. This may mean offering support to patients who are at greater risk to themselves.

Requirements Include

• Hold a valid NMC pin number
• To work as a prison nurse, you need to be qualified, registered nurse, preferably mental health or learning disabilities
• Ability to treat patients with confidentiality and respect and meet targets.

Successful candidates will be required to complete DBS and Reference checks.
