Locum Practice Nurse Jobs Colyton!
We are currently working with a client in the Colyton area, looking for a Practice Nurse 3 days a week ongoing for at least 3 months with the potential to extend to a long-term placement. In this case, practice nurses in the area would enjoy working with the Practice as it will allow them to offer continuity of care. You will also need experience in Baby and Travel Imms, COPD, and Smears. Also if you have previous work on Emis web this would be a bonus to the clients.
This is in a good location with local shops and parking on site. And also offering competitive rates per hour
Responsibilities
- Assist GPs to help deliver an effective implementation of management of pts with chronic diseases as detailed by the Quality and Outcomes Framework.
- Contribute to the development of policies/protocols/guidelines within the practice.
- Aid the practice team with the implementation of new initiatives in the delivery of chronic disease management services.
- Formulate reports as required for the practice manager and or senior nurse.
- Support the implementation of evidence-based guidelines in conjunction with the practice nursing team.
- Encourage the development of integrated services within Primary Care to include integrated practice-based teams and multidisciplinary working.
- Promote the continuing professional development of yourself and other nurses & HCA within the practice.
- Recognize the opportunities for working in partnership with the Primary Healthcare team.
- Participate in an annual appraisal.
Qualifications
- RGN
- Evidence of recent Study (PREP)
- Recognized Minor Illness. Injuries Certificate or willingness to undertake
- Recognized Nurse Prescribing Qualification
Qualifications
- Knowledge or experience in Chronic Disease Management
- The care of patients presenting with undifferentiated health problems
- Child and adult immunizations
- Cervical Cytology (Not essential)
- Asthma and also COPD monitoring (Desirable)
- Family planning and also the ability to work as part of a multidisciplinary team
- Up-to-date knowledge of QOF and Enhanced Services
- Be fully up to date in terms of clinical updates, immunizations, and also vaccinations

Experience
- One must be a Registered Nurse(RN)
- NP-focused graduate master’s or Doctoral Nursing Program
