Emergency Nurse Practitioner Job Description

• Demonstrate competency in professional skills relating to ENP practice and expand those skills to meet the
  needs of the patients.
• Implement and evaluate the programmes of care with reference to patients, without direct supervision
• Assist the ward/department manager to facilitate change processes within the area whether clinical or managerial in nature to ensure that the ward/department team foster innovative practice and meet patient needs
• In the absence of the ward/department manager, the post holder will supervise, deploy and develop all staff to ensure efficient management of a rapidly changing and developing nursing service.
• Ensure that all written documentation within the ward/department area is clear, concise, timely and complies with the NMC Standards for Records and Record Keeping.
• Establish, maintain and develop effective communication with all disciplines, patients and relatives.

Requirements 

• Must be an autonomous practitioner (ENP)
• Preferably a prescriber
• Must be able to see all ages and conditions of minor illness
• Minor injury experience desirable but minor illness most crucial
