Locum Meds are working with a busy surgery in London. As a teaching and training practice, we are looking for an experienced practice nurse to cover a year-long maternity period.
Also, this surgery strives to create a healthy team atmosphere and encourage staff to meet at lunchtime, attend practice meetings and take part in social events, and are, therefore, looking for a team player with a passion for delivering good quality patient care.
You will obviously have a current NMC registration and experience in working within a GP surgery is essential. A flexible approach to working is required, especially to cover early morning or evening sessions.
The Practice nurse vacancy duties include:
- Conduct initial patient screens, as well as patient history and physical assessments.
- At each patient appointment, update patient records and double-check them for accuracy.
- Evaluate test results to determine the need for additional sessions and treatment choices.
- Maintain all company productivity KPIs while providing great care.
- Act as a resource for patients seeking continuous care information, counseling, and guidance for any patients suffering from serious conditions.
